PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ ?? Assessment, stabilization, and treatment of neonates/pediatric patients before and during interfacility transport according to policies, procedures and protocols established for transport services at FHWC.
+ ?? Proactively initiates process improvement ideas.
+ ?? Assists with clinical instruction and precepting, and serves as a resource person to lower level therapists.
+ ?? Performs other duties as requested by department leadership.
+ ?? Supports hospital and department mission and goals, and department metrics.
+ ?? Supports adult routine care responsibilities as designated by department leadership.
+ ?? Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a continual basis.
+ Documents and charges for procedures neatly, accurately, thoroughly, and completely to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital.
+ Responds to Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performs other duties as Performs airway maintenance including: proper use of manual resuscitators, oral and nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, intubations/extubations, assist with tracheostomy insertions, perform tracheostomy changes, assist with bronchoscopy, airway suctioning, and procedural respiratory support
+ Properly utilizes patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review, and conferring with multidisciplinary team to determine efficacy of therapy.
+ Performs respiratory therapies and oxygen delivery per protocol. Obtains, analyzes and reports findings of blood gases and co-oximetry.
+ Performs quality controls as needed.
+ Set-up and perform pulse-oximetry, and ETCO2 monitoring
+ Initiates, maintains, transports, and monitors mechanical ventilators to include conventional and non-conventional modes of ventilation and transport ventilation.
+ Reviews chest radiological reports as necessary per supervisor and policy and procedures.
+ Properly performs hemodynamic procedures including: arterial cannulation (including umbilical artery cannulation), assembly, calibration and maintenance; assisting with CVP/pulmonary artery catheter insertion, calibration and maintenance; performs cardiac output and hemodynamic/cardiopulmonary profiles.
+ Ensures transport supplies and equipment are restocked and functional.
+ Documents, posts/charges for procedures neatly, accurately and completely to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital, to include appropriate equipment checks.
+ Assists with clinical instruction and serves as a resource person to lower level therapists.
+ Practices the principles of standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a continual basis.
+ Provides 20 minute response time for all transports providing a safe and stable transport for patients.
+ Delivers neonatal resuscitation and assists with APGAR scoring at delivery per NRP guidelines.
+ Performs artificial surfactant replacement.
+ Maintains proper equipment in The Baby Place and Emergency Room.
+ Demonstrates knowledge and skill to care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program upon hire
+ Must be at the level of Critical Care Respiratory Therapist and have at least one year neonatal and pediatric critical care experience upon hire
+ Minimum of 2,000 hours of Level II and Level III NICU experience as a RRT (documentation required upon hire).
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
+ Current Florida State License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Required upon hire
+ Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required upon hire
REQUIRED ONCE HIRED:
+ Once hired, will be required to accompany a minimum of six (6) Neonatal Transports prior to going on a transport as the only RT in attendance.
+ Once hired, must successfully complete appropriate transport training regimen as directed by the Department Manager; demonstrate proficiency at procedures defined in the principal duties and responsibilities section of this job description.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
