Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has provided faith-based, whole person care to the community since it opened in 2012. Every detail of our 83-bed facility is purposefully designed to create an environment of healing for mind, body and spirit. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment from outpatient services to our surgical suites and inpatient care. In 2013, we also opened a 50,000-square foot Health and Wellness Center that includes an indoor track, group exercise areas, and an aquatics center with a lap pool to help community members achieve optimal health. In August 2015, the hospital began construction on am expansion that will open in December of 2016, significantly increasing the number of inpatient beds, surgical suites, and emergency department rooms.
GENERAL SUMMARY :
The major function of the MRI Technologists is to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures. Under the direction of the MRI Medical Physician and the Regional Technical Supervisor of MRI, the MRI Technologists will perform a variety of highly technical procedures. The technologist will be responsible for designated areas, procedures and instruments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
? Reports and resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner, treating all customers with courtesy.
o Communicates issues to Supervisor
? Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures on all patient age groups and ability to teach the same
? Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex. Provides patients with efficient and courteous care
? Is proficient on the use and operation of the specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures
? Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging services admin
? Works with department staff to facilitate patient care across modalities
? Works in conjunction with other departments (ED, OR, etc) to facilitate patient care
? Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required meetings and staff development programs
? Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources
? Recognizes and reports malfunctions in equipment, discontinues use before a more costly repair is needed
? Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures safely and in accordance with Hospital standards of care. Selecting proper technical factors and proper patient positioning
? Is familiar and complies with appropriate JCAHO standards and directives. Able to teach the same
? Wears TLD badge daily, reviews radiation exposure reports and uses radiation restrictive devices on all examinations. Follows ALARA
? Follows patient identification/verification process prior to performing all patient exams/procedures
? Monitors and accesses patients during procedure in accordance with established guidelines
? Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
? Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS application.
? Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures.
? Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education.
? Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.
? Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
? High School diploma or equivalent
? Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasonography
? Three (3) to five (5) years? experience within their respective fields
_EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:_
? Associates Degree
? Prior experience/knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, CT scanning, SPECT scanning or Ultrasound techniques
_LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:_
? ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
