Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has provided faith-based, whole person care to the community since it opened in 2012. Every detail of our 83-bed facility is purposefully designed to create an environment of healing for mind, body and spirit. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment from outpatient services to our surgical suites and inpatient care. In 2013, we also opened a 50,000-square foot Health and Wellness Center that includes an indoor track, group exercise areas, and an aquatics center with a lap pool to help community members achieve optimal health. In August 2015, the hospital began construction on am expansion that will open in December of 2016, significantly increasing the number of inpatient beds, surgical suites, and emergency department rooms.
You will be responsible for:
+ Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements
+ Explains and prepares the patient for all radiographic and cardiac catheterization procedures.
+ Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts in order to alert nurses and/or physicians to possible contradictions for procedure.
+ Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effects of disease processes to properly and safety position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.
+ Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the cardiac catheterization department, selecting technical factors to insure high-quality radiographs using the A.L.A.R.A (as low as reasonable achievable) standards.
+ Maintains radiographic equipment, processor, and injector in proper working condition. Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisory personnel.
+ Performs various clerical duties.
+ Checks stock inventory and initiates orders.
+ Responsible for performing all related exams within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
+ Must be available for STEMI call and be able to be on site within 30 minutes of stat page. Call requirements will be adjusted according to staffing.
+ Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
+ Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
+ Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
+ Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department?s/unit?s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Qualifications
What will you need:
+ Demonstrates clinical competency in cardiac Cath, peripheral/endovascular, and electrophysiology procedures.
+ Demonstrates clinical competency in scrubbing, circulating, and hemodynamic monitoring.
+ Acute care experience in handling acutely ill patients requiring intervention or balloon pump. Proficiency in sheath maintenance and removal.
+ Proficiency in telemetry.
+ Associate?s Degree from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or
+ O.R. Radiologic Technology with Cardiac emphasis
+ Minimum one year of Interventional Cath Lab experience
+ Must have at least 500 hours of previous experience in dedicated cardiac interventional laboratories at a hospital with Level II adult cardiovascular services program.
+ Three years of Interventional Cath Lab experience (Preferred)
+ Or, ARRT(R) with Cardiovascular (CV) credentialing upon hire
+ BLS, ACLS required upon hire
+ RCIS or RCES (Preferred)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
